Civil Engineering Services for The Gaylord Palms Resort

The Coquina Dunes Recreation Park, located between the hotel and Convention Center at the Gaylord Palms Resort, was designed as a multi-purpose recreation area for hotel guests. The park is comprised of an executive putting course, bocce ball, croquet, and sand volleyball court. The centerpiece of this recreational area is Coquina Dunes, a premier nine-hole executive putting course, which features sand traps, roughs and challenging doglegs.

Civil/Site Engineering, Inc. was involved from the conceptual design and construction document preparation to permitting and construction observation. Construction documents including paving, grading drainage and modifications to the water, sewer and stormwater systems were prepared by our team and submitted for agency review and approval through SFWMD and FDEP.

Project highlights include the design of a permeable synthetic grass backfilled with sand, on top of a concrete substructure, creating the look and feel of natural grass.
